All 48 nations competing at the FIFA World Cup 2026 are listed below, grouped from Group A through Group L. Football's biggest stage has expanded for 2026 — 48 teams instead of 32 — so more nations than ever before will fly their flags this summer. Click any team card to open that nation's page with full fixture list, opponents, host stadiums and key players to watch.

Matches

Each team plays at least three group-stage matches. Teams that reach the knockout stage play additional fixtures — the eventual Final winners and runners-up play eight matches total over 39 days of tournament football. Match cards on every team page show the date, kickoff time, opponent and host stadium.

How to follow your nation

Open your team's page from the cards below and bookmark it. Every team page lists the team's full World Cup 2026 schedule plus a link to its group, so you have everything in one place — fixtures, opponents, key players to watch and stadiums for every match.

Group

The 48 teams are organised into 12 groups (A through L) — four teams per group, with each group playing a round-robin. Group winners and runners-up qualify directly for the Round of 32. The eight best third-placed teams across all groups also advance.

Favourites, contenders and debutants

Defending champions Argentina headline the favourites list, alongside five-time winners Brazil, recent finalists France, England, Spain and host nation USA. The expanded format brings historic first-time qualifiers including Cape Verde, Curaçao, Jordan and Uzbekistan.

Matches Today

Today's team fixtures will be highlighted on each team page once the tournament begins on June 11, 2026. When a team has a match scheduled for the current day, it appears prominently with kickoff time and opponent. If no fixture is taking place today, the section shows the team's next confirmed match.

Standings

Each team's position in its group is tracked live on the team's page and on the group page. The table shows games played, wins, draws, losses, goals scored, goals conceded, goal difference and points. Qualification status (qualified / could qualify / eliminated) appears as the group stage progresses.

Results

Match results for every team are added after the final whistle of each fixture. The team's schedule reflects results immediately, and the group standings table updates with each new result. Until the tournament begins, every entry is a scheduled fixture with confirmed date, time and venue.

Match Schedule

Every team page has its own match schedule sub-page with a chronological list of fixtures — group matches first, then any knockout fixtures as the team progresses. Kickoff times are shown in the local time of the host city. With matches across four time zones, always check the local conversion before tuning in.

Browsing by host country

Many fans plan their viewing around a single host country. Each host country page (USA, Mexico, Canada) lists every team playing matches there, so you can build a viewing schedule by location instead of by team.

Match Chart

Once a team finishes its three group fixtures, the bracket path becomes visible. Group winners go to one side of the bracket, runners-up to the other, and best third-placed teams fill the remaining slots. See the playoff bracket for the full knockout flow once the group stage ends on June 27.

Match List

Each team card on this page links to the team's overview page. From there, the team's match schedule sub-page lists every fixture in date order with kickoff time, opponent, host stadium and host city. For a tournament-wide view, the full World Cup 2026 match schedule lists all 104 fixtures.
